Shriya Saran Biography:
Shriya is a young actress who has done several Tamil and Telugu movies and made a splash into Bollywood with 2007′s Awarapan in which she was paired opposite Emraan Hashmi as his true love. Her innocence and restrained performance won her rave reviews. She also made waves with her performance in Sivaji opposite veteran superstar Rajnikant in 2006.
Sjriya is a very stubborn girl who believes in hard work. She wanted to be a Kathak dancer but destiny had other plans. She is famously close to her family and loves to hang out with her friends. Shriya, which means Goddess Lakshmi, was born and brough up in Haridwar and has recently moved to Lokhandwala, Mumbai where she stays with her parents. She has one elder brother who got married recently. Her mother is a chemistry teacher and her father works at Bharat heavy Metal Works. Since Hindi is her mother tongue, she found it hard to learn Tamil and Telugu.
Shreya is establishing herself as a multilingual actress. After Tamil, Telugu and hindi movies, she is acting in Ashok Amritraj’s Hollywood production, The Other End of The Line with Jesse Metcalfe of Desparate Housewives fame. Her next Bollywood release is the multi-starrer thriller Mission Istanbul, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film also stars Zayed Khan and Vivek Oberoi.
